As we get older, we begin to notice sagging, wrinkles, and other signs of aging throughout the face. While this is perfectly natural, it may not be exactly what we want to see when we look in the mirror. Fortunately, Sherisse Hill, RN, MSN, ARNP, FNP(C), at SHADe in Issaquah offers a wide range of dermal filler treatments to help patients achieve their anti-aging goals. She also provides facial sculpting treatments with dermal fillers for the enhancement of specific features, such as the lips and cheeks.

Your Injectable Journey

Pre-Injection

Post-consultation, after you and Sherisse have determined the suitability of injectables for your beauty goals. The targeted areas will be numbed using a topical anesthetic or ice pack. While you are numbing, Sherisse takes the time to prep for the injection and educate you on the injection process, ensuring you are well-informed every step of the way. Your journey to radiance is a collaborative effort marked by thorough consultation and expert care.

Injection

During the injection, Sherisse skillfully administers filler under the skin, ensuring minimal sensation, often described as a gentle pinch. Our dermal filler and volumizer treatment sessions typically take 15 minutes or more. Following the filler injection, you may experience mild discomfort, redness, and/or swelling at the injection site. Any swelling is usually minor, allowing you to resume your normal social activities comfortably.

Post-Injection

Following your injectable treatment, minimal downtime is anticipated, although some individuals may experience mild bruising or localized side effects. You can resume your typical daily activities immediately after your facial filler procedure. However, for the first 24 hours, we recommend refraining from workouts, applying makeup, receiving massages, taking NSAIDs, or consuming alcohol.

Clinically Proven

Dermal fillers, including renowned brands like Juvederm, Restylane, Revance RHA, Radiesse, and Sculptra, have become a prevalent choice for individuals seeking non-surgical cosmetic enhancements. These injections effectively plump up wrinkles and smooth lines and restore volume, offering a swift and minimally invasive solution for enhancing facial features and regaining a youthful appearance.

Administered just beneath the skin by Sherisse, dermal fillers yield immediate results that can last months to years, depending on the type of filler and treatment area. As collagen naturally diminishes with age, causing skin laxity and volume loss, individuals often opt for dermal fillers to address concerns such as sagging skin, asymmetrical features, thinning lips and cheeks, and wrinkles and creases.

Various types of dermal fillers cater to specific needs. Hyaluronic acid (HA) fillers like Restylane are known for providing volume and hydration. In contrast, Calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA) fillers such as Radiesse target deeper wrinkles. Polylactic acid (PLLA) fillers, including Sculptra, stimulate collagen production to smooth deep wrinkles.

Choosing the right dermal filler involves discussions during your consultation with Sherisse, who can guide you in setting realistic goals and expectations. As part of a comprehensive approach to self-care, these treatments allow individuals to age with grace, confidence, and a refreshed sense of self.

Our Collection Of Dermal Fillers and Volumizers

Juvederm

Juvederm is a long-lasting Hyaluronic Acid gel filler that is expertly injected into the skin using an ultra-fine needle to provide a lasting lift and enhanced volume in targeted areas. This non-surgical treatment involves a precise injection, instantly addressing imperfections. Unlike Botox, which relaxes muscles to alleviate wrinkles, Juvederm fills unwanted crevices with a material naturally found in your body, seamlessly erasing the appearance of those crevices.

Restylane

The Restylane family of products is used to add volume and fullness to the skin to correct moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, including the lines from your nose to the corners of your mouth (nasolabial folds or laugh lines), the area just below the nose and above the upper lip; the corners of the mouth; and marionette lines—the area that extends downward from the corners of the mouth to the jawline.

Revance RHA

Revance RHA® fillers are a new line of hyaluronic acid-based dermal fillers approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to treat dynamic wrinkles and facial creases. RHA stands for resilient hyaluronic acid. RHA fillers are designed to achieve long-lasting results that consider dynamic facial expressions.

Radiesse

Radiesse is unique because it instantly restores volume and stimulates collagen production, so you can have healthier-looking skin that continues to replenish itself. Some cosmetic injectable fillers may do one or the other. Still, with Radiesse, you get the best of both worlds: immediate results and the extended benefit of natural collagen stimulation.

Sculptra

Sculptra is a treatment that revitalizes an area, including the buttocks, by stimulating new collagen development. It’s different from localized facial fillers, such as Restylane or Juvederm, which treat specific skin areas that have thinned or creased over time. Sculptra tends to have a more broad, dispersed effect, stimulating collagen regeneration throughout the entire area. Sculptra works subtly and gradually over time for a more youthful-looking appearance. Unlike hyaluronic acid (HA) fillers, Sculptra helps stimulate your skin’s natural collagen production to help restore its inner structure and increase facial volume lost due to aging.

FAQ’s

What Are Dermal Fillers?
K
L

Dermal fillers are gel-like substances that are injected under the skin’s surface. They are most often used to reduce wrinkles and lines and enhance facial contours. Based on the patient’s aesthetic concerns and needs, Sherisse may use hyaluronic acid (HA) fillers, such as Juvederm®, Revance RHA®, or Restylane®, and/or biostimulatory fillers like Radiesse® and Sculptra®.

Am I a Candidate for Dermal Fillers?
K
L
Candidates for dermal fillers are often patients seeking a non-surgical treatment solution for:

  • Lip augmentation
  • Jawline contouring
  • Facial lines and wrinkles
  • Under-eye hollows
  • Sunken cheeks

How Long Will It Take to See Dermal Filler Results?
K
L
Some initial improvements will be visible immediately. It takes about four to six weeks for HA fillers to settle, so you can enjoy your final results. With biostimulatory fillers, improvements will be ongoing for several weeks as collagen production increases.
How Long Do Dermal Fillers Last?
K
L
The longevity of your enhanced look will depend on the type of filler used and your body’s reaction to it. Some dermal fillers last for about six months, while others can last a year or longer. Sherisse will explain what you can expect with your treatment plan during your consultation.
Which Type of Filler is Right for Me?
K
L

Sherisse will meet with you for a consultation to determine which filler(s) can best accomplish your desired results. Each filler has distinct benefits, and each patient has unique needs, so every dermal filler treatment is highly personalized. She will examine your facial tissue and structure and review your medical history during your consultation in order to identify which is ideal for you.

In general, hyaluronic acid fillers can be a great choice for patients who desire the quickest results possible and/or are new to fillers and prefer the option to reverse their treatment. Biostimulatory fillers provide less noticeable improvements immediately after treatment but work to naturally restore the skin’s structure over time by boosting collagen production for more subtle, but longer-lasting results.

How Much Do Dermal Filler Treatments Cost?
K
L
Since each patient receives a customized treatment, the overall price can vary. The amount of filler needed, number of treatment areas, and type of filler used will affect the cost of your dermal filler procedure. You will be provided with exact pricing details during your consultation.
