Relax Lines and Wrinkles.
Over time, wrinkles appear on your face as the collagen in your skin depletes or due to free radical damage. Facial expressions such as frowning, squinting, and raising eyebrows can cause deep wrinkles. Many people begin to see these wrinkles in their mid-30s and 40s. The earlier you start to treat your skin and reduce facial lines, the greater the chance of preventing permanent damage to your skin and premature aging.
Toxins, known as Botox, Dysport, and Xeomin, help make your face healthier and softer by minimizing wrinkles. Interfering with nerve and muscle signals prevents muscles from contracting, which smooths wrinkles. By relaxing the overactive muscles, facial contours improve, making you look more rested and refreshed.
Botox
When it is injected into a muscle, Botox stops the nerve impulse from reaching the muscle, thus preventing it from contracting as strongly. This causes the muscle to weaken and relax, allowing the overlying skin to soften and causing wrinkles in the area to disappear. Botox has been in use for many years and is approved by the FDA for the treatment of areas such as the glabellar wrinkles (frown lines), crow’s feet, and forehead wrinkles.
Dysport
Dysport is an injection that decreases muscle movement in a targeted area, softening the look of vertical wrinkles that are common in the forehead and between the eyebrows. Both Botox and Dysport are effective in giving a more youthful look and minimizing facial wrinkles. Botox is best for wrinkles around the eyes, mouth, and cheeks, while Dysport is best for lines between the eyebrows.
Xeomin
Xeomin is a special botulinum formulation that’s specifically for the treatment of glabellar lines. These are the frown lines that form between the eyebrows. Xeomin can treat moderate to severe lines, softening their appearance or even removing them altogether. After a Xeomin treatment, people typically start to see results within a week, but it can take up to a month to see the full effects. For most people, Xeomin lasts around three months.
